I will be traveling to my Dad\’s in Deleware next week (Mar. 22nd – 29th).

I am riding on Amtrak (Pittsburgh to Philladelphia).
I have to admit that I am a railfan and have been ever since I was little.
I know the employees on this route personally having traveled it 4 times (8 rides) before roundtrip.

I will only be able to use Dial-up internet while I\’m out there for the most part.

Also, as of today I am hosting 34 different websites. Most are low bandwidth transfers.
I can host your website if you would like. You just need to provide a domain name and a DNS server. I will give you the DNS information to setup your site. I am also working on a CMS (Content Management System) for this and I am not willing to pay $1000 for Cpanel or something similar…

If you would like me to host your site, or webpage, or even a subdomain at wcatnews.com. Email me and we can discuss the details.

I may offer it completely free depending on what type of site, how big it is, and what type of content it has. I do use Apache 2.2.4 and MySQL 5.? with PHP 5.2.4 which will all require special setup.

I made 2 new PHP scripts that produce PNG images with valuable amateur radio data.

The first is the WWV solar data, which can be found on many different websites around the Ham community.

The second is a Stark County Weather Alert system, which displays watches/warnings directly from NWS.

I can add more weather alert scripts for any U.S. state/county combination if you would like one for your site…

To add the WWV image to your site, just add an image with the source being http://www.w8jkc.com/wwv.php.

To add the Stark Weather image to your site do the same thing with http://www.w8jkc.com/wx.php

As you know I am attempting to upgrade to an Extra Class Operator, and this involves passing element 4.

I drove to Rittman, OH this morning for a VE session, and failed it again. The only thing different from the Canton test, was that I missed by a LOT more. I had approx. 30 wrong, and to pass you can only have 13 wrong.

I guess I need to study more, I thought I could pass it, but the math involved is too much for my little bit of studying so far. Maybe I will go to a test session when I visit Deleware at the end of this month. Mar. 21st – March 29th if I have time to and there is a test session close by.
