Well I am working on purchasing items to complete my emergency response kit for my truck. The kit will be used for various activities including, Amateur Radio Clubs, A.R.E.S., R.E.A.C.T., and maybe someday others.

I ordered an amber lightbar for my truck it should be here later today. I went through SpeedTech Lights its the STL-Hawk. I had been looking aroundthe Canton area for a bar, and would have had to pay anywhere from $600 to $1600 for a full set (bar and traffic advisor). I only paid $200 for the bar, and they want $109 for the traffic advisor.

I need to get other various items, such as, flares, vests, jack, tow ropes/chains, radio(s), and power items.

I will be mounting my lightbar tonight, just in time for the parade on saturday.

I have moved the development W8AL site from /w8al to http://w8al.wcatnews.com

I am trying to make every site I run it\’s own log files and data.

You can still use http://kd8gpl.ham-radio-op.net/w8al/ as it will redirect you to the actual site until Feb. 2008 when I rebuild the server by the end of this year.

Also, there may be some downtime when I do rebuild the server, however I am going to try and transfer everything to a backup server temporarily.
